Whether you are new to Japanese tea ceremony or already interested in Japanese culture, this private experience offers an authentic introduction to one of Japan’s most treasured traditions.
You will learn about the history and meaning of the Japanese tea ceremony, watch a traditional tea preparation, prepare your own bowl of matcha, and enjoy seasonal Japanese sweets. Throughout the experience, you are welcome to ask questions and enjoy the experience at your own pace.
What You’ll Experience
1. Welcome
Your host will welcome you to our traditional tea room and introduce the history and meaning of the Japanese tea ceremony.
2. Experience a Tea Gathering
Take part in a traditional tea gathering as a guest. Enjoy seasonal Japanese sweets and a bowl of freshly prepared matcha while learning the etiquette of the tea ceremony.
3. Prepare Your Own Matcha
After watching the demonstration, you will whisk your own bowl of matcha under personal guidance.
4. Questions & Photos
Take your time to ask questions, enjoy the atmosphere, and capture memorable photos.

Please note that hot water and delicate tea utensils are used during the experience.

Children are welcome but must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult throughout the session.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible.
Cancellation fees are as follows:

20% of the fee for cancellations made by the day before the experience

100% of the fee for cancellations made on the day of the experience or for no-shows
If you expect to arrive late, please contact us as soon as possible.
Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late may not be able to participate, as the experience must finish at the scheduled time.
