[A] Tea Ceremony Experience
Experience tea gathering of tea ceremony, or Chado, the way of tea.
Here at Tea Ceremony Experience in Hiroshima, you can have the authentic Chado experience. This tea room is not made to demonstrate tea gatherings to the tourists, but it is a place where many local Chado-learners come and practice Urasenke Chado, which is the main school of Chado in Japan, everyday.
There are many things in Japanese Chado that attracts people. Of course the tasty Matcha tea, but also from the beautiful postures and movements of the well-trained hosts, to the utensils and hanging scrolls which are Japanese traditional crafts, to the seasonal flowers, to the colorful sweets. There are many elements, and what fascinates you the most may differ from person to person, but everything is prepared for you, so you can have the best time.
The experience is conducted either in Japanese or English. Upon request, you can learn the manner on how to enjoy the sweets and Matcha tea.

1. Explanation of Chado
2. Participation in the tea gathering as a guest. Have a Japanese sweet and a bowl of Matcha tea.
3. Make your own bowl of tea.
Option: purchase of the utensils, purchase of the Matcha

- The experience takes around 40 minutes, depending on the number of the guests.

You can join the experience either seated on the tatami floor or on a chair.
